Sanaa:Several Governorates: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted varying and scattered thundery rainfall over parts of several governorates within the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center predicts thundery rainfall of varying intensity in parts of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, and Taiz governorates, as well as the Socotra Archipelago. The Tihama Plain and the western coast are also expected to experience similar conditions.
There is a likelihood of scattered rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunder, in parts of Saada, Amran, and Al Dhale'a governorates, as well as the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwah, and parts of the southern coast.
The center has issued warnings to citizens and motorists about the potential for floods in ravines and valleys and advised against being present in these channels during and after rainfall. It has also cautioned about the dangers of thunderstorms, recommending that people avoid elevated areas, trees, and tall towers, refrain from using mobile phones, and ensure electricity is disconnected.
Additionally, reduced horizontal visibility is anticipated on roads and in mountainous areas due to low clouds and fog formation.
