Transport minister: aggression deliberately destroyed Yemen’s civilian aircraft, airports

SANA’A, Feb. 11 (Saba) – Transport Minister Zakaria al-Shami has said that the US-Saudi aggression coalition deliberately destroyed Yemeni civilian aircraft and airports, ignoring laws, regulations, agreements and international conventions.

Al-Shami added the aggression coalition countries ignored international humanitarian law and destroyed civilian airplanes and airports in Yemen and are still targeting them in full view of the world that has not yet taken a move to stop the aggression.

He called on the international community to criminalize the crimes and violations committed by the aggression countries, especially the blockade imposed on airports, sea and land outlets as well as the detention of oil derivative ships.

The Minister of Transport reiterated the international community’s request to lift the blockade imposed on Yemeni airports and seaports by the aggression countries, stressing that the blockade is a blatant violation of all international laws and norms and a war crime against the Yemeni people.
