Two citizens dead, dozens of houses, farms damaged by rains in Jawf

Posted on August 4, 2022 By Web Desk

Two citizens died in heavy rains and torrential rains in the past two days in Jawf province, a security official said on Thursday.

The official added two citizens in their car were washed away in Wadi al-Yatmah in Khab Washa'af district, pointing out that the torrential rains collapsed six houses in al-Hazm city and partially damaged around 20 houses.

He confirmed that dozens of houses and farms were damaged and well water and solar systems were buried in a number of the province's districts.

The official warned citizens not to be in flood streams for their safety, pointing out that the floods washed away cars and caused the cutting off of roads connecting villages, areas, and districts of the province.

The branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the province has launched a distress call to humanitarian partners to carry out their duty to alleviate the suffering of those affected by rains and floods.
