The European Union (UE) provided Euros 2.37 million in financial support to Palestinian farmers and agricultural projects in the occupied West Bank as a contribution to the West Bank Agricultural Assistance Program.
According to the Palestinian Press Agency (SAFA), the number of Palestinian farmers and agricultural projects benefiting from this new contribution amounted to 241 farmers and agricultural projects, all of which were affected by the Israeli occupation.
According to a statement by the European Union, this subsidy will help farmers start over and restore or replace their damaged projects through various activities, including acquisition of agricultural equipment, land reuse and other small infrastructure work.
The total number of beneficiaries of the program will reach 365 farmers so far, the statement said.
