Russian envoy to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that the US is likely attempting to save some Trump-era sanctions against Iran.

Ulyanov said on Telegram "Washington needs to demonstrate a more constructive and businesslike approach if [it] is really committed to nuclear nonproliferation".

According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the advisor to the Iranian delegation in the Vienna Talks, Dr. Mohammad Marandi, declared on Thursday that the United States is trying to impose itself as the world’s police

He added that with regards to the stalling of the Vienna Talks, the issue is not whether or not the IRGC remains on the terror list, but that guarantees are received (by Iran) that Washington will remain in the deal.
