RIYADH-- Saudi Arabian air forces on Tuesday destroyed a ballistic missile which targeted the western city of Yanbu, Xinhua news agency reported, citing Al Arabiya newspaper.
The missile fired from neighbouring Yemen by Houthi militias was part of frequent attacks on areas in the kingdom, targeting mainly cities near the border.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a war against the Houthis in support of Yemen's exiled government.
The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Malki, told a press conference on Monday that the Yemeni city of Saada was being used as the main launch pad of ballistic missiles.
