Minister of Water and Environment Abdulraqib al-Shurmani and Dhamar governor Mohammed al-Bukhaiti have inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 47 service projects at a cost of YR 2.5 billion on the occasion of the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.
The projects that were opened included 22 projects in the fields of water and environmental sanitation in a number of districts of the province, rehabilitating and completing solar water projects, at a total cost of YR 1.4 benefiting 94,462 people, funded by donors and community initiatives.
Al-Shurmani and al-Bukhaiti laid the foundation stone for 11 projects in the fields of water and environmental sanitation in a number of districts, including the rehabilitation and completion of pumping water projects with solar energy, at a total cost of YR 5.1 million, benefiting 36,334 people, funded by donors.
They also laid the foundation stone for 14 water and sanitation projects in the neighborhoods of Dhamar city within the framework of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, at a cost of YR 994.8 million, funded by the government and donors, benefiting 220,000 people.
