Ways to stabilize markets, control violations in Bayda discussed

A meeting in Bayda province was held on Sunday, chaired by Bayda governor Abdullah Idris, discussed the progress of the performance of the Industry and Trade Office, efforts to control supply violations and market stability.

The meeting reviewed reports on the supply situation, the tasks carried out by the Industry Office and field campaigns aiming to fix prices and monitor the conditions of markets and shops, especially in light of the continued aggression and siege.

Governor Idris stressed the importance of working in a team spirit, overcoming difficulties, adhering to the regulations and circulars issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and not tolerating those who manipulate citizens’ livelihoods.

Idris urged that more efforts be made to control violations and reduce manipulation of food prices.

He stressed the obligation of merchants and importers of basic food commodities to list prices and publish them in a way that contributes to controlling violators and manipulators.
