The Governor of Taiz, Ali Al Muammari, announced on Wednesday, that, the first stage of a military operation, being carried out, to break months-long siege, laid on Taiz by the rebel Houthi group and militants loyal to the now-deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh, was a success.
Yemen's state news agency quoted Al Muammari as saying that, Taiz will be liberated from injustice, siege and rebellion.
He praised the Yemeni army and pro-government Yemeni National Resistance, backed by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, for achieving victories and liberating the city's western entrance.
