SANA’A, The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) has discussed with the deputy representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR ) aspects of cooperation and partnership between the country and the UN organization.
In the meeting held on Monday, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos stressed the importance of establishing a mechanism to ensure the effective partnerships that would advance humanitarian work, serve beneficiaries, and provide services to the affected people by the aggression.
Tawoos stressed the need to adhere to the humanitarian work regulations and to train the cadres working in the humanitarian field, affirming that the SCMCHA will continue to provide all facilitations to enable the UNHCR to perform its tasks.
In return, the UNHCR deputy representative stressed its commitment to cooperate with the SCMCHA and to exert all efforts to maintain mutual coordination.
He expressed appreciation of the SCMCHA’s efforts and facilitation for all humanitarian organizations operating in the country.
