SANAA, Nov.19 (Saba) Journalists in Sanaa are denied participation in international conferences, said Hassan Hammoud Sharafaldin, secretary of the Yemeni Media Union.
Dozens of journalists and media professionals have received invitations in recent days to attend international press and media conferences, which have not been able to participate in these conferences due to the continuing siege and the closure of Sanaa airport, the union's secretary general told the Saba.
Sharaf al-Din said the ban on Yemeni journalists from travelling was a crime, especially since Sanaa International Airport receives three planes a day of the United Nations.
He also called on international organizations concerned with media, rights and freedoms, notably the International Federation of Journalists, to show solidarity with Yemeni journalists.
