Yemeni President, Abdrabbu Mansur Hadi, has agreed on the draft peace deal, proposed by the UN Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

In a statement, following a meeting in Riyadh with his advisers, the Yemeni president announced that, he has given instructions to the government negotiating team in Kuwait, to accept the deal and to sign it, provided that the other side signs it too.

The move is meant to bring to a halt, the bloodshed in Yemen and restore security and stability and state institutions, the president noted.

The statement stated that, the draft deal calls for a withdrawal of armed groups from the Yemeni capital Sanaa, the cities of Ta'iz and Hudida, to pave the way for a comprehensive political dialogue, to start 45 days after the signing of the agreement.
