SANAA, A training course entitled “English Journalism Focus and Act” started on Saturday in the Capital Sanaa organized by the Yemeni Media Union over a period of four days, with the support of the Guinness University of Science and Technology.
The course aims to provide 15 media journalists of various national institutions with journalistic writing skills in the English language.
The Secretary-General of YMU Hassan Hammoud Sharaf al-Din stated that this session comes within the framework of the UMU’s activities for 2020 to enhance the capabilities of journalists in line with developments in the media field.
Sharaf al-Din stressed the importance of training and rehabilitation in enhancing the skills of media professionals in order to communicate with the outside world and coordinate with his media to convey the suffering of the Yemeni people in light of the continuing aggression and siege.
For his part, the course instructor Nasser al-Rubaie referred to the course’s topics aimed at enabling media professionals to develop their capabilities in dealing with international media outlets, especially with regard to journalistic arts in the English language.
