SANA’A, Ministry of Youth and Sports condemned on Thursday the attack of the aggression’s mercenaries on al-Ahli football club in Taiz province earlier this week.
Last Saturday, the mercenaries launched an artillery shell hit the club football ground, which claimed the lives of football player Nasser al-Raimi and his son, Emran.
In a statement to Saba, the ministry considered the attack on the club as sinful and intentional and criticized the attempts to blame the attack on the army and popular committees and turning media shows into propagandas.
The statement emphasized the keenness of the army and popular committees for the safety and security of civilian facilities and civilians as they are continuing to face the aggression in Taiz and other provinces.
The coalition and mercenaries have destroyed many youth and sports facilities all over the country since the war began on March 2015.
