SANAA, Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) on Thursday launched a field campaign to combat the black market and smuggling of oil derivatives.

The campaign aims to monitor the fuel stations and review procedures of the marketing and control branches in the provinces of Sanaa, Amran and Hajjah.

The campaign procedures includes an abrupt actual inventory of petroleum products stocks in the fuel stations and conduct of conformity, in addition to ensuring the safety of distribution, unloading and sale of petroleum products according to the programs prepared by the company.

In the inauguration, YPC's Executive Director Yasser al-Wahidi directed the controllers to stop all the violating stations and completing the necessary procedures for forwarding them to the competent prosecution.
