Sana'a: 21 September University of Medical and Applied Sciences in Sana'a has launched its sports activities program for the 1447 AH academic year, commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the university's Student Activities Department has organized a series of competitions, including football, chess, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, athletics, and swimming. These activities are scheduled to run until 9 September.
The opening football match marked the beginning of the university's seventh championship, ending in a 3-3 draw between the Colleges of Medicine and Medical Sciences.
University Rector Dr. Mujahid Mesar highlighted the significance of sports in promoting fair competition, developing social skills, and reflecting the values of the Prophet. He also commended the organizing teams and extended his best wishes to all participants.
