Hodeida: The 27th free eye camp was launched on Sunday in al-Zuhra district of Hodeida governorate. Organized by the Grameen Yemen Foundation in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Environment and its office in the governorate, the camp aims to provide examinations, tests, and cataract surgeries with lens implants for more than 1,000 patients from al-Ma'ras area and surrounding regions.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the launch, camp director Mohammed al-Dabab explained that the camp's services include free examinations and medication, and surgeries for 350 patients, with the participation of a select group of ophthalmologists and consultants. He noted that during the first two days of the camp, examinations and tests will be conducted to identify cases requiring surgical intervention and to perform pre-operative examinations.
