5.5 Tons of Local Almond Marketing Initiative Launched in Taiz

Taiz: Al-Selw Agricultural Cooperative Society in Taiz province has launched the marketing of 5.5 tons of locally grown almonds, known as 'Hab al-Aziz,' marking its third shipment. Officials praised the cooperative's role in strengthening local agricultural production and organizing farmers' efforts.

According to Yemen News Agency, the officials stressed that marketing the almond crop aligns with efforts to maximize Al-Salo district's agricultural potential and improve productivity through structured farmer groups and value-chain mechanisms. This initiative is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the economic viability of local agriculture.

Fouad al-Haddabi, the cooperative's chairman, stated that the third shipment follows the export of 1.5 tons in the first batch and four tons in the second. This reflects the growing production and improved marketing capacity of the region, highlighting the success of the cooperative's strategic initiatives.
