Sana'a: The Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council in Sana'a has awarded the national programmatic academic accreditation certificate to three programs at Al-Hikma University. The programs that received this prestigious recognition are Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology.
According to Yemen News Agency, the accreditation was conferred during an official ceremony organized by the council. Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, extended his congratulations to Al-Hikma University for this significant achievement. He commended the university's efforts in enhancing educational quality and producing graduates who meet the demands of the labor market. Dr. Luqman also encouraged other universities to seek accreditation as a means to improve performance and ensure high-quality educational outcomes.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Habboub, the president of the council, emphasized that academic accreditation is a national obligation and a strategic move towards achieving international recognition, particularly in medical fields. He highlighted the necessity of ongoing evaluation and monitoring to sustain this accomplishment.
Dr. Mohammed Dayf Allah, the council's secretary general, remarked that the accreditation marks the beginning of a journey to advance higher education and ensure its quality and continuity in line with labor market standards.
In response to the accreditation, Dr. Salah Mosfar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Hikma University, along with the University's President, Dr. Mukhtar Dael, lauded the outcome of their concerted efforts in enhancing laboratories, technical equipment, and infrastructure. They reiterated their commitment to securing accreditation for the university's remaining programs and pursuing international recognition.
The ceremony also featured a presentation of the stages and procedures involved in the accreditation process, which encompassed 33 steps, ranging from technical support to the eventual awarding of the academic accreditation shield and certificate to the university.
