Sana'a: Sana'a University Council, in its meeting on Tuesday chaired by University Rector Dr. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, approved on a number of decisions related to academic and administrative matters.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Council, which included the Vice Rectors, their assistants, and the Deans of the faculties, agreed to issue a notice to newly appointed faculty members. This notice outlines the requirement for publishing their research in international scientific journals within a maximum period of one year from the date of appointment.
Additionally, the Council approved the transfer of seven faculty members from the Department of Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry to the Department of Prosthodontics. They also completed the review of the Bachelor of Physical Therapy program at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences.
Further approvals included the Master's program in Early Childhood at the Faculty of Education and three specialized tracks in the Department of Educational Administration and Planning. The tuition fees for the PhD program in Special Education were also approved, along with updates to the Master's programs in Clinical Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy.
The Council ratified the results of 12 doctoral candidates and 16 master's candidates, in addition to the graduation lists for the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, Physical Education, and Science. Furthermore, the training plan for the Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Unit was approved, and the project to update the university's website in both Arabic and English was reviewed.
