Al-jawf: Acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Ammar Al-Karim inspected on Sunday progress on the agricultural road network project in Al-Ghayl District, Al-Jawf Governorate, as part of efforts to support agricultural development.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Karim, accompanied by officials, reviewed progress on the Al-Ghayl agricultural road rehabilitation initiative, which is supported by broad community participation, contributions from the local authority, and development intervention units. He emphasized the importance of such agricultural roads in connecting production areas with markets and collection centers. This connectivity is crucial in reducing transportation costs and facilitating the movement of farmers and agricultural products, thereby promoting sustainable economic development.
The delegation also reviewed agricultural resources and development needs in Wadi Malaha in Al-Masloub District. They stressed the importance of continued field visits to identify priorities and direct interventions to meet farmers' needs. Strengthening cooperation between authorities and local communities was also highlighted as a critical factor in supporting agricultural development.
