Acting Head of Tax, Customs Authority Reviews Operations at Large Taxpayers & Investigations Units

Sana'a: Dr Ibrahim Mahdi, Acting Chairman of the Tax and Customs Authority, inspected the workflow at the Executive Unit for Large Taxpayers today. During his visit, Dr Mahdi focused on reviewing the unit's operations development plans and addressing challenges to enhance performance levels.

According to Yemen News Agency, Unit Director Jameel Al-Sharjabi, along with specialists, provided a detailed explanation of ongoing plans and efforts to improve performance in line with initiatives aimed at developing and advancing tax work. The Acting Chairman praised the unit's efforts and commitment to enhancing tax operations, particularly in service development and simplifying procedures for taxpayers, which strengthens the collaborative relationship between the tax administration and taxpayers.

Dr Mahdi also reviewed workflow procedures at the Investigations and Tax Evasion Combat Unit. He met with Unit Director Khaled Sharaha, who presented a detailed report on operations and efforts to improve performance and achieve desired goals. The Acting Chairman emphasized the importance of simplifying tax procedures and acknowledged the unit's vital role in combating tax evasion.
