Sanaa: Acting Prime Minister Miftah honored the General Directorate of Human Resources team at the Ministry of Interior for their triumphant victory in the Martyr Leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi Football Championship. The prestigious tournament was organized by the General Police Sports Federation and concluded with a thrilling penalty shootout win against the Facilities Protection and VIP Security team.
According to Yemen News Agency, the championship event was graced by the presence of Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulmajid al-Murtada, and Ministry Undersecretaries Major General Ali al-Saifi and Major General Ahmed Jaafar. Acting PM Miftah lauded the Ministry of Interior and the Police Sports Federation for their commendable efforts in organizing the sports activities. He emphasized that the tournament, named in honor of the martyr leader, serves as a tribute to his sacrifices for the nation's dignity and honor.
The Acting Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the tournament's organizers and sponsors, while congratulating the victorious General Directorate of Human Resources team. He acknowledged that all participants were winners, as the event fostered camaraderie and healthy competition among the Ministry of Interior's members.
During the closing ceremony, the Acting Prime Minister, along with senior officials, presented the championship trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize to the winning team. The Facilities Protection and VIP Security team, which secured second place, received the runner-up trophy, silver medals, and a cash prize. Additionally, referees, outstanding participants, and sponsors were recognized with certificates of appreciation.
