Afar Customs Center Foils Smuggling Attempts of Cigarettes and Medical Equipment

Bayda: Afar Customs Center in Bayda governorate thwarted two separate smuggling attempts involving quantities of cigarettes and medical equipment.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's director, Fahd Haza'a, stated that the first operation led to the discovery of medical devices and equipment hidden inside a transport vehicle. In the second operation, a quantity of cigarettes was seized while being smuggled on the backs of donkeys.

Haza'a praised the vigilance of customs officers and security personnel for their efforts in detecting and intercepting smuggled goods, affirming that the center remains committed to combating all forms of smuggling.
