Sana'a: Afar Customs Center successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of foreign raisins, totaling one ton and 33 kilograms, on Thursday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Center Director Fahd Hazza explained that the raisins were cleverly concealed in bags inside cartons among bananas. The vigilance of the customs officers was instrumental in uncovering the smuggled goods.
Director Hazza commended the officers for their dedication and effectiveness in preventing the smuggling attempt. He emphasized the center's commitment to fulfilling its national duties and its determination to stop attempts to smuggle various goods.
