Sana'a: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources organized a protest on Wednesday in the capital, Sana'a, to condemn repeated insults to the Quran and to express solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon. Ministry officials and employees gathered to voice their opposition to what they described as ongoing offenses against Islamic holy sites.
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants denounced the reported burning of a copy of the Quran by American extremist Jake Lang. The protestors emphasized their disapproval of such acts and highlighted their commitment to protecting Islamic values and sites.
A statement issued during the protest rejected attacks on the Quran and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It reaffirmed support for Palestinians in Gaza and for detainees held in Israeli prisons, while also expressing solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon. The statement urged Muslims worldwide to uphold Islamic values, support boycott campaigns, and remain united against actions perceived as hostile to Islam and Muslims.
