Sahar:The Ain Humanitarian Center for Rights and Development has condemned a recent attack allegedly carried out by the Saudi regime on the home of Ali Al-Qahm in the Al-Tawilah area of Sahar District, Sa'ada Governorate. This attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians, including five children and three women, and injured 23 others, predominantly women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center highlighted that the attack occurred shortly after another incident where civilian homes were targeted with cluster munitions in Dhooran Anas District, Dhamar Governorate. Within a span of less than 72 hours, the center documented 127 civilian casualties, including 37 fatalities—11 of whom were children and five women—with 90 others injured, among them 26 children and 15 women.
The Ain Humanitarian Center described the bombing of the family house as a serious crime, indicating a blatant disregard for the protection of civilian properties. It warned that the death toll could increase as search and rescue operations were still ongoing.
Holding the Saudi regime fully accountable for the attack and its consequences, the center emphasized that targeting civilians and their properties represents a grave violation of international humanitarian law, potentially amounting to a war crime. The center called for legal accountability, stressing the need for urgent medical care for the injured and accurate documentation of the attack to ensure victims' rights are protected.
The center expressed solidarity with the victims' families and underscored the need for continued rescue efforts. It concluded that the bloodshed of Yemeni civilians demands accountability and redress for the violations committed against them.
