Airstrikes and Shelling Cause Casualties and Damage in Yemen

Sanaa:A series of airstrikes and shelling by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition have resulted in numerous casualties and significant destruction across various regions in Yemen on October 7 over the years.

According to Yemen News Agency, On October 7, 2015, airstrikes targeted multiple locations, including Taiz Governorate, where a truck driver was killed on Al-Wazi'iyah Road. Homes in the Al-Harir area and districts of Al-Mokha and Dhubab were damaged. In Hajjah Governorate, four people were injured in an airstrike on the Al-Haramla area. Strikes in Al-Jawf Governorate hit a fuel station and market, killing livestock and damaging property.

In Sana'a Governorate, airstrikes caused severe damage to farms in Sanhan District. Saada Governorate faced ten airstrikes in Sahar District, destroying homes, while the Saudi army shelled areas in Manbah, Razih, Ghamr, and Shada. Marib Governorate experienced over sixty airstrikes, including the use of phosphorous bombs, impacting Kofel and Sirwah Districts, and damaging infrastructure.

On October 7, 2016, a woman died in airstrikes on farms in the Mahli area of Nihm District, Sana'a Governorate. Amran and Al-Jawf Governorates were also hit, damaging public and private properties. Strikes in Ibb and Marib Governorates caused extensive damage to farms and infrastructure. Airstrikes in Taiz Governorate led to explosions in Al-Mokha city.

October 7, 2017, saw twelve casualties, including women and children, from airstrikes in Al-Mokha District, Taiz Governorate. Airstrikes in Al-Jawf, Shabwa, and Hajjah Governorates caused further destruction. Saada Governorate faced cluster bomb attacks, and Jizan and Najran regions were heavily bombarded.

In 2018, shelling in Hodeidah Governorate's Al-Durayhimi Market resulted in three deaths. Airstrikes in Sanhan District, Sana'a Governorate, killed three workers and damaged properties. Saada Governorate experienced artillery shelling and airstrikes, injuring civilians and damaging infrastructure.

On October 7, 2020, Saudi artillery shelling in Manbah, Saada Governorate, caused casualties. Shelling in Hodeidah Governorate led to multiple deaths and injuries. Airstrikes in Al-Jawf and Marib Governorates damaged citizens' properties.

In 2021, airstrikes in Al-Safra District, Saada Governorate, resulted in two deaths. Hodeidah Governorate faced mortar shelling, causing injuries, and airstrikes in Al-Jawf and Marib Governorates caused property damage.

By 2023, the aggression's mercenaries established combat fortifications in Hodeidah Governorate, shelling several areas with artillery and gunfire, marking continued conflict and instability in the region.
