Airstrikes and Shelling Mark September 24th in Yemen’s Conflict

Taiz: A series of aggressive airstrikes and artillery shelling occurred on September 24 across various years, impacting multiple regions within Yemen. The conflict continued to claim lives in 2018, with two citizens killed in an airstrike on a poultry farm in Al-Hodeida Governorate. On September 24, 2019, airstrikes in Al-Dhalea Governorate killed 16 citizens, including children and women. Saudi border forces killed a resident in Saada Governorate, with further airstrikes causing property damage in the area. The 2022 conflict saw a civilian killed by a mine explosion in Al-Bayda Governorate, while a bomb injured ten children in Al-Hodeida Governorate. Mercenary forces established fortifications and launched attacks across multiple governorates, including Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, and Al-Dhalea. By September 24, 2023, mercenaries had fortified positions in Al-Hodeida Governorate, continuing artillery and firearm assaults in various regions. The conflict remains a source of significant humanitarian impact, with ongoing threats to civilian lives and infrastructure.
