Al-bayda: Governor Abdullah Idris reviewed the agricultural activities at the central nursery in the city of Al-Bayda. During his visit, he was briefed by engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, the head of the agricultural sector in the governorate, about the nursery's operations, which include an impressive collection of over 48,000 seedlings comprising fruit and ornamental trees. The discussion highlighted the nursery's significant role in agricultural production and the distribution of various seedlings such as figs, almonds, and pomegranates.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Idris emphasized the central agricultural nursery project's importance in preserving both seedlings and fruit-bearing and ornamental trees. He underscored the necessity of optimally utilizing Al-Bayda's natural resources and advocated for the expansion of cultivating figs, coffee, and other fruit trees.
Governor Idris also highlighted the critical need to raise community awareness about the benefits of agriculture. He stressed the importance of using available land suitable for farming, aligning with directives aimed at advancing the agricultural sector. Additionally, he called for expanding community initiatives in agriculture and strengthening the formation of agricultural associations across districts. These associations are viewed as key partners in the development of local communities.
