Al-Bayda Governor Inspects Progress on Rawdat Al-Hisn Dam in Radman District

Al-bayda: Al-Bayda governor Abdullah Idris inspected on Thursday the progress of work on Rawdat Al-Hisn earthen dam in Faqa' Al Rajih area of Radman district, which is being constructed through community initiatives.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Idris, accompanied by Radman District Director Maher Al-Awadhi and the district's agricultural sector official, Engineer Ali Al-Laqasi, listened to an explanation from a representative of the community initiatives in Faqa' Al Rajih area of Sayhan, regarding the work completed on the dam. This is the second dam built through community initiatives, following the completion of the Sabah dam, which was also supported by the agricultural sector with a bulldozer. The representative explained the importance of both dams in collecting floodwater flowing through the valleys.

During the visit, the Governor of Al-Bayda emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to implement projects that serve the agricultural sector, enhance water security, and benefit surface wells in the region. He stressed the need to support community initiatives and monitor the implementation of projects, particularly those related to agriculture, dams, water barriers, and the reclamation of barren lands. He commended the cooperation of the local authority leadership in Radman District and the Aqal and Al Rajih tribesmen in implementing these community initiatives that serve large population centers.
