Al-Bayda Receives Agricultural Medicines and Vaccines to Boost Livestock and Plant Health

Al-bayda: The agricultural sector in Al-Bayda Governorate received a significant delivery of medicines and vaccines for livestock and plant health, provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the handover ceremony, Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris was briefed by Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, head of the agricultural sector in the governorate. The shipment included 58 types of medicines, more than 1,300 units, and 500 liters of disinfectants, along with supplies and refrigerators for storing vaccines at the central clinic. This preparation is in anticipation of the distribution to veterinary clinics affiliated with agricultural associations across the districts.

Governor Idris highlighted that this provision of medicines and vaccines will serve as crucial support for veterinary agricultural clinics. It aims to preserve and develop livestock and plant resources while reducing farmers' losses. He stressed the importance of veterinary facilities and agricultural centers in curbing the spread of transboundary diseases and enhancing the quality of exports in animal health and seed production.

The governor added that these projects align with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction program, which focuses on advancing the agricultural sector. Governor Idris also called for activating the role of agricultural associations as a key partner in local development, commending the resilience of workers in the agricultural sector and their contribution to supplying the local market with products.
