Capital secretariat: Al-Boon Agricultural Agency Team was crowned champion of the 9th Martyr Abdulqader Hilal Ramadan Football Tournament, organized by the Masik Youth Development Council in the Capital Secretariat. Al-Boon secured the title after defeating Al-Ward Marble Team 3-1 in the final match held at Omar Al-Mukhtar School stadium.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament took place from 3 to 28 Ramadan and featured 16 teams divided into four groups. Seven teams advanced through preliminary qualifiers, while nine teams qualified directly for the finals.
At the closing ceremony, several officials, including Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Adel Bader, and Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, honored Al-Boon Team with the championship trophy. Other dignitaries present were Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Mazen Noman, Assistant Undersecretary Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf Al-Din, and directors of various offices like Health and Environment and Youth and Sports.
In addition to the championship trophy for Al-Boon, Al-Ward Team received the runner-up trophy. Individual accolades were also awarded: Mokhtar Al-Makhthi was named top scorer, Zayed Al-Assar was recognized as the best player, and Mohammed Al-Adaini was celebrated as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
