Al-Haq Party Denounces Saudi Claims of Targeting Medina

Sanaa:Al-Haq Party has issued a condemnation of Saudi Arabia's alleged fabrications and lies regarding the targeting of Medina, following earlier false accusations about the targeting of Mecca using drone aircraft.

According to Yemen News Agency, the party's statement criticized the Saudi regime for repeatedly spreading lies, despite assurances from Leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi that Mecca is a significant Islamic site protected by Yemenis, and that false claims about Mecca only serve to insult it. The party emphasized that similar values apply to Medina, home to the Holy Prophet's Mosque.

The statement also highlighted that involving Islamic holy sites in the conflict and making false claims about their targeting is unbefitting for any regime claiming to represent Arabism and Islam. Such allegations, the party argued, cannot justify or mask the massacres in Yemen, nor absolve Saudi Arabia of the consequences of its continued aggression and the 12-year blockade.

Furthermore, the statement accused Saudi Arabia and its allies of habitually targeting Yemen's electricity, water, telecommunications, infrastructure, markets, mosques, and schools. It alleged that by intensifying attacks on Sanaa, Saudi Arabia is entangling itself further in Yemen's challenging terrain, where Yemeni forces have previously overcome Saudi forces, particularly in Al-Mukha and the West Coast.

The party reiterated Yemeni support for their armed forces in confronting Saudi airstrikes on Yemeni governorates, the latest being Sanaa. It cautioned entities and nations that Saudi Arabia attempts to involve in the Yemen conflict to avoid the repercussions of opposing Yemen in favor of Zionist and American interests, warning that such involvement would lead to defeat, aided by the resilience of the Yemeni people and their fighters.
