Al-Haymah al-Dakhiliyah District Hosts Festival Marking Al-Wilayah

Sana'a: A carnival and speech festival took place on Saturday in the al-Haymah al-Dakhiliyah district of Sana'a governorate to commemorate al-Wilayah of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib. The event, held in coordination with the General Mobilization Forces, was set in Hijrat al-Ayn village, within the Rub' al-Qadmah neighborhood of Bani al-Sayyagh.

According to Yemen News Agency, the festival featured a blend of popular, cultural, and religious heritage activities that underscored the strong connection of the local people to Imam Ali. Participants at the event expressed their deep belief in al-Wilayah, a concept declared by the Prophet on the Day of Ghadir Khumm.

The significance of the occasion was emphasized in fostering values of loyalty to God, His Messenger, and the faithful. The festival aimed to promote the reform of the path of true Islam and the restoration of its glory. Activities during the event included chanting, poetry, popular songs, folkloric dances, and fireworks. Participants also raised models of the Dhu al-Fiqar sword and displayed slogans to mark the occasion.
