Al-hodeidah: Al-Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Atefi inaugurated the water network project for the Al-Maytina area and nearby villages in Al-Tuhaita District. The project, executed by the Al-Balda Al-Tayyiba Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society, received support from the Community Initiatives Department and was supervised by the local authority in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Atefi, District Director Adel Ahaif, and General Mobilization official Sadiq Fatini reviewed the project, which cost 21 million and 939 thousand Yemeni riyals. The initiative aims to enhance basic services for citizens in rural regions, addressing the challenges residents face in accessing usable water.
Governor Atefi emphasized that the project's inauguration signifies social solidarity and community cooperation. He highlighted the necessity of such initiatives in executing service projects that alleviate the hardships faced by citizens, particularly under the country's current challenging conditions.
The governor confirmed that the local authority supports community initiatives that facilitate sustainable service and development projects. He stressed the priority given to water projects due to their significant impact on improving citizens' lives and fulfilling essential needs.
Al-Tuhaita District Director Adel Ahaif praised the governorate's leadership for its attention and support in activating associations and community initiatives. He noted that the Al-Maytina water network project is a crucial development for providing water to residents in the area and nearby villages.
Ahaif acknowledged the contributions of the Al-Balda Al-Tayyiba Cooperative Society and all those involved in the project, pointing out the importance of community initiatives in advancing local development.
