Sa’ada: A member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, alongside the Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif Mohammed, laid the foundation stone for a water project in the Majz – Al-Jaamla – Dahyan – Al-Hamati area. The initiative, with a total investment of $800,000, is funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
According to Yemen News Agency, the foundation stone ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water Adel Saleh Bader, as well as several deputy governors of Sa’ada province. Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi highlighted the project’s significance in alleviating the local community’s hardships and emphasized the commitment of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to support electricity and water initiatives across the country, particularly in regions like Sa’ada that have lacked essential service and development projects.
The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, along with his deputy, reiterated that the water project in Majz, Al-Jaamla, Dahyan, and Al-Hamati aligns with the revolutionary leadership’s directives and the Supreme Political Council’s agenda. It is part of the government’s efforts toward change and construction by supporting service projects in Sa’ada province.
They further explained that the project aims to reconstruct infrastructure damaged by the aggression from the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, specifically targeting the Majzar district and the broader province.
