Sana'a: The Al-Ibsar Cultural Center team clinched first place in the cultural competition organized by the General Directorate of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This event was part of the fourth Blind Running Championship. The competition, hosted by the General Federation for Sports for Persons with Disabilities, took place at Al-Ahli Club, marking the Arab Day for Persons with Disabilities. The event was held under the theme "Martyrs on the Road to Quds," in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and financed by the Youth and Children's Welfare Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competition featured 24 players and coaches from Sana'a and the governorates of Dhamar, Ibb, and Amran, all vying for the top spot. The teams from Al-Nour Center and Al-Ibsar Center both scored 60 points, leading to a tiebreaker. Al-Ibsar Center triumphed with a final score of 25 points to Al-Nour Center's 15, securing the championship title.
The event was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Haj, Director of Cultural and Social Activities, with cultural lecturer Mohammed Al-Washah also participating. Notable attendees included Abdul Wahab Al-Hawani, Director of Specialized Activities; Abdul Rabbo Hamid, President of the General Federation for Sports for Persons with Disabilities; Khalid Al-Haimi, Secretary-General; and representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, including Huda Mahmoud and Samah Farid from the Youth and Children's Welfare Fund.
