Salh: Al-Jabali Union team won the title of the 'Prophet Muhammad, the Greatest' Football League in Salh District, Taiz Governorate, at the conclusion of the first stage of the league's competitions at the governorate's district level.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Jabali Union secured the title after defeating Union of the Descendants of Bilal in a penalty shootout, following a goalless draw in regular time, amid an enthusiastic atmosphere and a notable performance by players from both teams.
With this result, Al-Jabali Union completed the list of qualifiers from the 'Middle Quadrant' to the league's second stage. The tournament is organized by the governorate's Youth and Sports Office to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, peace, blessings be upon him and his family.
At the end of the match, Salh District Youth and Sports Director Issam Al-Sanoumi presented Al-Jabali Union with the championship trophy and gold medals, while Union of the Descendants of Bilal received the runners-up trophy and silver medals.
