Muscat: The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdulrahman Al-Jamaei and Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Soufi inaugurated a solar power project at Al-Shaheed Yasser Wathab Hospital. The project aims to enhance the hospital's ability to provide medical services.
According to Yemen News Agency, the $300,000 project is funded by the World Health Organization (WHO) and has a capacity of 800 kilowatts. During the inauguration, Al-Jamaei and Al-Soufi were briefed by the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlani, and the hospital's director, Dr. Adel Al-Danaei, on the project's importance in strengthening medical services and ensuring the continued operation of the vital health facility.
Al-Jamaei and Governor Al-Soufi commended the health sector's efforts to implement sustainable projects that improve the level of services provided to citizens. They described the project as a significant addition to the hospital's infrastructure that will enable it to continue providing medical and therapeutic services more reliably, particularly amid the current challenges facing the country.
