Al-khabt: A commemorative event marking the annual Martyrs' Day 1447 AH was held on Saturday in al-Khabt district of Mahweet province. During the event, province undersecretary Yahya al-Zahri emphasized that observing Martyrs' Day represents both a spiritual and national moment to renew the pledge to follow the path of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to defend the homeland and created epic stories of honor and dignity in confronting aggression and global arrogance.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Zahri highlighted that the martyrs' sacrifices serve as a school of patience, steadfastness, and devotion to Allah and the nation, urging everyone to draw lessons of sacrifice and dedication from their example, and to care for and support their families in recognition of the martyrs' high status and noble contributions.
Ahmed al-Wali, the local secretary of the district, noted that the commemoration serves to reinforce the spirit of resilience and faith in the justice of the cause, while raising societal awareness about the responsibility to defend the homeland against aggression and siege. He stressed the importance of continuing to support the frontlines with both resources and personnel until complete victory is achieved.
Al-Wali added that the martyrs' sacrifices remain a guiding beacon for future generations, emphasizing that loyalty to them is demonstrated through steadfastness against aggression and ongoing dedication in all fields. The event, attended by members of the governorate's central committee, heads of executive offices, the district security chief, and various social figures, included diverse segments reflecting the values of sacrifice and dedication.
