Al-Madani Chairs Meeting to Address Ministry of Administration and Local Development’s Role Amidst Governmental Restructuring

Sana'a: A meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local Development Mohamed Al-Madani focused on the evolving responsibilities of the Ministry following recent governmental merger and restructuring decisions under the Government of Change and Construction.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Madani welcomed the newly appointed undersecretaries, emphasizing the Ministry's critical role as a conduit between central and local entities to foster local and rural development. He highlighted that the Ministry is currently undergoing a transitional phase, which involves preparing its organizational structure and regulations.

The discussions also included strategies for reviving the cooperative sector to stimulate development through active involvement from both the state and society. Al-Madani and the undersecretaries underscored the importance of women in driving the Ministry's projects and programs.

The undersecretaries also expressed the necessity for increased efforts and accountability in implementing economic empowerment initiatives and achieving substantial development within administrative units.
