Al-Mahwit: The Governor of Al-Mahwit, Hanin Qatina, honored Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, the former president of Sana'a University, in appreciation of his academic dedication and his role in supporting higher education at the national level, as well as his unwavering support for Al-Mahwit University since its establishment.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Mahwit University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalabi. Governor Qatina praised the efforts of Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas during his tenure as president of Sana'a University. He noted that Dr. Al-Qasim led the university during a complex period, ensuring the continuity of higher education and enhancing academic and administrative performance. He also expanded cooperation with universities and scientific institutions both within Yemen and abroad.
Governor Qatina emphasized that this recognition honors all those who serve their national duty and prioritize the interests of education.
