Al-Mahwit Hosts Cultural Events in Bani Awad and Al-Bashari to Celebrate Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday

Al-mahwit: Two cultural evening events were held on Thursday in the Bani Awad and Al-Bashari areas of Al-Rajm District, Al-Mahwit Governorate, to commemorate the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic and Chairman of the Presidential Committee overseeing the Prophet's Birthday activities in the governorate, Hassan Sharaf Al-Din, emphasized the significance of commemorating this important religious occasion. He highlighted the importance of drawing lessons and inspiration from the life of the Prophet Mohammed, while embodying his values and principles in everyday life.

Sharaf Al-Din explained that the commemoration strengthens the people's connection with the Messenger of Allah and underscores his revered place in the hearts of the Yemeni people. He described the occasion as an opportunity to promote awareness, steadfastness, and resilience in confronting the challenges facing the country. He also emphasized the need for greater unity, social cohesion, and efforts to liberate Yemen from forces of aggression, preserving the country's sovereignty and dignity.

He urged the community to translate the core values of compassion, solidarity, and mutual support into practical initiatives that address challenges and serve the people.

Dr. Ali Al-Zaykum, Secretary-General of the Local Council in the governorate, echoed these sentiments, noting that the commemoration reflects the strong bond between the Yemeni people and the Messenger of Allah. He stressed the importance of promoting values such as solidarity, compassion, and cooperation, reinforcing Islamic identity, and raising awareness of the risks targeting the nation.

The events, attended by Deputy Governors Ahmed Al-Qatma, Ali Sharaf Al-Din, and Mohammed Al-Basal, along with Al-Rajm District Director Mohsen Al-Saqqaf and other social figures, included speeches that praised the level of popular and official participation in the activities across the governorate. Participants were encouraged to continue their active involvement in central events, embodying values of love, cooperation, and unity in facing challenges.
