Al-Masawi Begins Work on Electric Transformers in Al-Ta’ziyah District

Taiz: The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, together with the Director of Taiz Electricity, Engineer Ghamdan Al-Khalidi, inaugurated the work on two electric transformers in the Al-Maqashara and Al-Furqan neighborhoods in the Al-Samaker area within the Al-Ta’ziyah district. These transformers have a capacity of 400 kVA and come after a prolonged power outage since 2015.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, Al-Masawi emphasized the commitment to restoring electricity to the residents of Al-Maqashara and Al-Furqan to ease their difficulties amid a decade-long conflict and blockade. He highlighted the importance placed by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council on providing essential services, especially electricity and water, with the holy month of Ramadan approaching.

Engineer Al-Khalidi confirmed that the installation of the transformers has been completed, and electricity has been reconnected to both Al-Maqashara and Al-Furqan neighborhoods. He also mentioned the ongoing efforts of the Taiz electricity department to rehabilitate and maintain electrical networks and lines damaged during the conflict.
