Al-Masawi Inaugurates Phase One of Haifan Road Maintenance Project in Taiz

Taiz: Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, inaugurated the first phase of the main road restoration and maintenance project in Haifan, implemented through community initiatives and in cooperation with the private sector and local authorities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration event was attended by two military region assistants, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Khalid and Brigadier General Noor Al-Din Al-Marani, along with Taiz Police Director Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub. Al-Masawi highlighted that this project is a collaborative effort between the Hail Saeed Anam Group of Companies and the residents of Haifan District.

The project includes the construction of retaining walls and road protection for a route that was nearly destroyed. Al-Masawi called upon the private sector to further contribute to sustainable development projects in the region.

Engineer Bakil Hamid, the Governorate's Director of Public Works, remarked that the project is a testament to a national partnership involving the private sector, local authorities, and the community. He assured that the second phase of the project would be completed shortly.

Sheikh Abdulghafour Al-Aghbari provided further details, explaining that the work spanned three and a half months. During this period, 13 hazardous bends were modified, 600 meters of the road were rehabilitated, two drainage passages were restored, and a total area of six thousand square meters was paved.
