Sanaa: A broad meeting held in Taiz on Sunday, chaired by Acting Governor Ahmed Al-Masawi, discussed the service and development project needs of Sama'a District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by deputy governors Mohammed Al-Husseini and Taha Hammam, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region Brigadier General Nour Al-Din Al-Marani, and Assistant Director of Taiz Security Brigadier General Rashad Al-Sam'i. The attendees reviewed the district's general situation and explored ways to improve service and development performance.
Participants focused on creating a unified coordination mechanism to identify actual needs for service projects in the district's villages and areas. This mechanism would involve the local council in submitting these needs to the provincial leadership for approval and scheduling.
Al-Masawi emphasized the local authority's commitment to providing the district with its development and service requirements. He noted efforts to overcome challenges and facilitate procedures for prioritizing essential projects. Al-Masawi also commended the national and responsible role of Sama'a's sheikhs, community leaders, and residents in supporting state efforts to maintain security and public order. He highlighted the necessity of enhancing cooperation between citizens and security and military bodies to preserve stability amid the challenges facing Yemen.
The district's sheikhs and community figures expressed their support for the provincial leadership in confronting attempts to undermine security and stability. They also praised the local authority's efforts to advance development plans and improve public services.
