Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Al-Miftah inaugurated the Car and Engine Exhibition in Sana'a on Sunday. Al-Miftah, accompanied by Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri, toured the exhibition and reviewed the latest automotive engine technologies.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Miftah praised the participation of electric vehicle companies and affirmed the government's support for the transition to clean-energy vehicles. He highlighted facilitation measures for importing electric cars, indicating a strategic shift towards sustainable transportation solutions.
Al-Bashiri emphasized the ministry's support for such events to boost commercial and economic activity. He stressed adherence to standards and after-sales services to align with the government's electric vehicle initiatives and reduce fossil fuel import costs.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mohamed Salah, and Head of the Government-Private Sector Coordination Committee Muhannad Al-Shami.
