Al-Mina Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Inaugurated in Hodeida

Hodeida: Al-Mina Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society was officially launched in the al-Mina district, Hodeida governorate. The launch took place during an event organized by the district's local authority, held under the motto "Together Towards Integrated and Participatory Development."

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Province First Undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri, Director of the District Abdullah al-Hadi, and representatives from key local bodies. During the gathering, the society's administrative and supervisory body was elected, and the society's bylaws and development objectives were reviewed. This initiative is part of a broader effort to expand cooperative societies across the governorate's districts.

Al-Bishri highlighted that the establishment of cooperative societies signifies a maturing community awareness regarding the importance of partnership in development. He stated that it embodies the spirit of initiative within the local community to foster a cooperative economy grounded in production and self-sufficiency.

He underscored the local authority's commitment to supporting this approach, emphasizing the importance of empowering citizens with tools for self-development. Al-Bishri noted that the association serves as a starting point for sustainable production and service projects designed to meet community needs and create job opportunities.

Al-Bishri expressed his belief that the Al-Mina Association will become a model for the entire governorate. He urged the society's members to develop realistic programs that address citizens' priorities and enhance collective participation in the development process.

For his part, the Director of al-Mina Directorate explained that the association will open new avenues for community development by undertaking projects in both production and service sectors.

He affirmed that the local authority will work to overcome challenges and provide support to enable the association to fulfill its role effectively, stressing the importance of integrating the society's roles with official and community agencies to achieve desired goals.
