Al-Naqeeb Inspects Conditions of Cancer & Kidney Failure Patients at Al-Shafaqa Foundation

Sana'a: Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee of the Local Council in the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, along with Assistant Undersecretary Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf Al-Din and Director of the Health Office Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni, inspected on Tuesday the workflow at Al-Shafaqa Foundation for the Care of Cancer and Kidney Failure Patients.

According to Yemen News Agency, the delegation listened to a briefing from the foundation's director, Wathiq Al-Qurashi, regarding the conditions of patients and the services provided by the foundation. The briefing highlighted the care for cancer and kidney failure patients across its departments and charitable housing facilities. It also detailed the healthcare, nutrition, and accommodation services offered to patients arriving from various governorates, alongside the main challenges and urgent needs faced by the foundation.

Al-Naqeeb emphasized the importance of uniting official and community efforts to support Al-Shafaqa Foundation. He noted that caring for cancer and kidney failure patients is a priority, which necessitates overcoming all obstacles and utilizing available resources to alleviate their suffering.

The visitors expressed appreciation for the role of Al-Shafaqa Foundation and the significant efforts of its staff in serving patients. They affirmed their readiness to support the foundation's activities and facilitate its humanitarian mission within available means to enhance the quality of services offered to residents.

Furthermore, they urged philanthropists and donor organizations to support the foundation's projects and to witness firsthand the scale of suffering. They emphasized that standing by patients in their hardship is a profound expression of social solidarity that characterizes the Yemeni people.
